I get a lot of questions along the lines of “What exactly do you DO as a Health Coach ??”
Let me break it down.
When you book an appointment with me for Health Coaching:
I take my knowledge as a neurologist and physician to pin point which lifestyle changes will give you the biggest bang for your buck and help you to come up with an actionable plan to enact CHANGE in your life to feel better quickly…. we typically KNOW what is good for us and our bodies… where we get stuck is the action piece… I can help take the fear and shame out of this and help you to step into your POWER.
I listen to your story- this is not a cold facts medical office visit. I want to hear your story. On our first session we will review your health history and get an idea of your current lifestyle habits. I do a lot of listening because you have a lot to say and typically have more insight into what may help you along your path than you give yourself credit for.
We come up with a plan together- this is where the magic happens because this plan changes and evolves and grows as YOU grow- you will get to know yourself more deeply than you ever thought you would by engaging in these discussions- we need to know your WHYs, and once YOU know your whys, you will learn what you need to succeed in your health goals.
Lifestyle changes can reverse 80-90% of chronic disease and typically improve even 100% of symptoms from chronic diseases.
I will teach you how to work WITH your primary doctor or specialists.
I am here for YOU.
I do not prescribe pharmaceutical medication in these consults.
This is NOT a traditional physician-patient relationship- we will TALK about your medical problems but this is in light of how we can change your habits to HELP your conditions, I do not diagnose medical conditions or suggest changes to your prescribed medications- if I feel something needs to be addressed, I will ask you to schedule a visit with your doctor to review… this may be necessary as you make lifestyle changes as blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels are quick to respond to changes in nutrition, physical activity, and stress levels… all of which we engage in from day 1.
There is work to do on your own- my goal is for you NOT to need me. I am here to show you the fire that is within and once you grasp this concept, then you’re off to the races and will be sharing your light with the world around you in the most authentic way possible. This is truly a ripple effect… You WILL change lives by investing in yourself, know this, and be proud of your contribution.
